Female Piano Players in Colonial New Zealand | Dr Kirstine Moffat

It is 30 years since Jane Campion’s iconic movie made history at the Oscars. Waiheke Musical Museum and Waiheke Cinema are coming together to mark the occasion with a joint programme on the afternoon of Saturday 20 April.

Come listen to Dr Kirstine Moffat with her presentation ‘She does not play the piano like we do’ – Female Piano Players in Colonial New Zealand, followed by a screening of Jane Campion’s film The Piano in Waiheke Cinema.

2.30pm-3.30pm An illustrated presentation by Dr Kirstine Moffat in the Musical Museum.
Entry by Koha (donation), no need to book.
3.30pm-4.00pm Tea and cake
4.15pm- 4.30pm Introduction to The Piano
