Join us in the Artworks Courtyard behind the Museum for a musical celebration of Switzerland, to welcome a Swiss alpine horn to our collection of musical instruments.

We will have a chance to see the new horn, learn how it made its way to New Zealand, and hear it played by a professional alphornist. Then, fifteen members of the professional Swiss Kiwi Yodel Group will entertain us with alphorn music and yodelling.

Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to visit the Museum.

Entry to this community event is not ticketed but please bring a koha/donation for the performers.

Most of the seating will be on the grassy hill so you may wish to bring an outdoor cushion along with any Swiss flags or costumes you may have at home.
