Journey through Music

Kent and Shauno Isomura, the Isomura Brothers, are a brilliant violin/piano duo based in Auckland and actively involved in a wide range of musical activities around NZ and abroad. They have special links with Japan, and participate in the Tsunami Violin Project, a charity project devoted to northern Japan’s ongoing recovery from the devastating earthquake and tsunami in 2011. Another link to Japan is in the music they choose to play: the brothers’ diverse recital programmes feature works by Japanese composers and include some New Zealand premieres.

Kent and Shauno have played at Whittaker’s several times before, and we are delighted to welcome them back again for this journey through music by Mozart, Psathas, Hisaishi, Akutagawa, Gao Ping, Sakamoto, and Kats-Chernin.

Book your seats by emailing us. Tickets $25 ($20 Friends, $10 Students/Children)
