Roman Rudnytsky is an American concert pianist of Ukrainian background who has been performing around the world for years. A graduate of the Juilliard School in New York, he has performed in over 100 countries. He has been soloist with many orchestras, played in 35 countries through US Embassies as a cultural ambassador, and played recitals on 70 cruise ships. Alongside all this travel, he found time to take part in, and win, ten international and national piano competitions.
Before his travels, Roman Rudnytsky was a university Professor of Piano and Music, and is now Professor Emeritus. This is his 14th tour to Aotearoa New Zealand, and he will perform 11 recitals, including to us, on beautiful Waiheke Island.
In March 2023, he performed on the islands of Guam and Saipan, and later this year he’ll be performing in Alaska (7th tour), Chile (11th tour), Australia (23rd tour), and on Cunard’s ship, the Queen Mary 2.
